Infinix Note 50 Pro plus 5G

The Infinix Note 50 Pro Plus 5G is Infinix’s top-tier mid-range offering for 2025, blending 5G connectivity, a premium AMOLED display, and a powerful chipset to compete with heavyweights like the Samsung Galaxy A55 and Poco F7. Pros
  • That screen? Wild. 120Hz AMOLED, blazing 1300 nits. Your eyeballs are gonna thank you. Looks killer indoors and holds up decently in the sun, too.
  •  Dimensity 7200 Pro under the hood, which means gaming and multitasking run smooth as butter. No lag drama unless you’re really trying to break it.
  •  Charging? Honestly, 68W wired and 20W wireless in a so-called “mid-range” phone is just flexing. You’ll barely have time to make a cup of coffee before it’s juiced up.
  • 5G on board, so you’re not stuck in the slow lane when networks get faster.
Cons
  • No expandable storage. What you buy is what you get. If you’re a digital hoarder, maybe start deleting those 2014 memes.
  • XOS 15 comes with the usual bloat—ads, pre-installs, the works. Not terrible, but c’mon, who actually wants more apps out the box?
  • Secondary cams (ultrawide and macro) are kinda meh. Main sensor’s great, but don’t expect miracles when you switch lenses.
  • No headphone jack. Pour one out for the wired-heads.

. Screen Time

This thing’s packing a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED with a nuts 144Hz refresh rate, so scrolling feels like gliding on ice. FHD+ resolution, 10-bit color, and DCI-P3—translation: colors pop, blacks are black, and everything’s crisp. 1300 nits? Yeah, you can use it outside. That said, glare can still annoy you. The always-on display is slick. Curved glass looks premium but, fair warning, you’ll sometimes fat-finger it while gaming or typing.

2. Memory Lane

Dimensity 8350 and Mali-G615 MC6 GPU—don’t let the “midrange” label fool you, this thing’s a beast. 12GB RAM (expandable to 24GB with virtual RAM—sounds cooler than it is, but hey, more memory). 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, so apps open fast and games don’t stutter. Benchmarks are impressive, but let’s be real, your day-to-day experience is what matters—and it’s snappy. No microSD slot, though, so don’t get carried away with 4K cat videos.

3. Battery Life

5200mAh battery, and it actually lasts. I’m talking a solid day and a half for most folks, unless you’re glued to TikTok. 100W wired charging is insane—full in about half an hour if you’re not watching. 50W wireless is rare in this price bracket. Oh, and you get reverse charging, so your earbuds or your friend’s sad phone can mooch juice off you. The MagSafe-style case is a cool extra.

4. Camera Vibes

Triple rear setup: 50MP main (Sony sensor, OIS), 50MP periscope telephoto (3x optical zoom), and an 8MP ultrawide. Main cam takes sharp pics, even at night (within reason). Telephoto’s great for zoom—portraits look fancy. Ultrawide’s okay, but images get soft at the edges, especially with bad lighting. 32MP selfie cam is solid in daylight, gets noisy at night. Shoots 4K60 video with good stabilization, plus there’s AI magic for editing and vloggers. Night mode still needs a bit of work.

5. Connectivity & Extras

Seriously loaded: 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC (if your market gets it), IR blaster for controlling your old TV, and IP64 for basic splash/dust protection. Under-display fingerprint scanner is quick, though it’ll sometimes make you try twice. Halo AI lighting on the back looks like you’re getting texts from the future. JBL stereo speakers are loud but don’t expect thumping bass. Android 15 with XOS 15 is lighter on junk than before, and you get some AI features—think live text, call summaries, and a voice assistant that’s not entirely useless. Two OS updates, three years security. Also, heart rate and SpO2 sensors, and an FM radio. If you’re into specs, this phone checks a lot of boxes.

If you want a flashy, super-charged phone for not-crazy money, the Note 50 Pro Plus 5G is hard to ignore. It’s not perfect—but it sure as hell punches above its weight.
